The last streamer had been hung. The helium balloon machine is completely empty because there was way too many balloons to pump up. The celebration banner is hung ever so carefully over the arc of the dining room entrance. The homemade vanilla bean ice cream is in the fridge waiting to be dipped into. And the cake, the 3-tier chocolate covered cake with enormous edible flower petals decorated all over is mouthwatering.

The clock on the wall over the chimney bears the time 6:30 p.m. It won't be long now. The time is almost nigh for the guests to arrive for the big shebang. 7:00 p.m. It's going down; A celebration like no other. The photographer will arrive in fifteen minutes and a quick peek into the parlor bathroom mirror confirms that your makeup on your face is flawlessly beat. You look amazing if you must say so yourself.

Your attire for the event was hand picked by a personal styler at the boutique. The price was out of your normal budget, but tonight was a very special occasion and you are pulling out all stops. No exceptions, no regrets. It's a celebration everyone! So bring your laughter, bring your party hardy. It is show time. At 6:45, a knock at the front door alerts you the photographer is wanting in.

The photographer comes in and immediately captures all the moments, the memories for the event. You stepped in front of the step and repeat banner to take a picture. As you're standing on the red carpet smiling for the picture and allowing the photographer to get every angle perfectly, you look at the time and wonders why there aren't any guests. Did they get lost? Did they forget? Did you forget to send out the invites? Did you put the correct date and time on the invitations?

Then it dawns on you that there will be no guests, because the party is for YOU! You threw a party just for YOU! You are celebrating YOU! ... Take time to celebrate YOU!
